Acquiring PMP License #3 - General Certification Process

Hi, it's HANSBLUE,

In the last session, I checked how to join PMI.
In this session, we will look at the overall certification process from testing to acceptance.

PMI does not offer a mobile optimized environment from the time of application, so it is recommended to access from the PC environment. Naturally, we will guide you how to apply in PC environment again this time.

Go to the Certification menu and you will see the screen above.
In the lower right corner, we have a button called Apply Now, but we will review the general process according to the main text here.

Step 1, once you meet the criteria.
In case of PMP, the following qualification requirements are provided.

How do you feel about this pre-requisite?
Once you have a four-year university, you should understand that you must have 4,500 hours of practical experience. If you consider 4,500 hours, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, about 2 years is calculated.

I was a little nervous when I first saw the words, Leading and Directing. (For reference, if you submit an application, PMI will say Audit as Random.)

And last but not least, you need 35 hours of Project Management training. This can be covered by the Webinar which I recommended in the past session. (one of the benefits of being PMI member.) If you feel that you are tired of going to the Webinar, please be aware that some institutions also issue PDU-related certificates.

However, I don't recommend this method, which may incur additional costs for training, and which require additional reporting to PMI.

Let's take the next step.
It is to create a full-scale application.
Create contact, educational history and experience.

In this part, PMI will review the feedback and feedback will come. In my case, I received a comment saying that it was not too specific. I have eventually satisfy PMI people as I've revised the application based on the contents in PMBOK.

In other words, it is easy to make PMP application if you are familiar with the knowledge of PMP and PMBOK. Therefore, it is recommended to write during PMP study.

And, please be noted that there would be audit process which is ramdom. I did not experience it, so I do not know the specific procedure.

Let's move on to the next step.
As mentioned above, when you submit an application, PMI checks it.
It takes 5 to 10 days from the time of submission. Actually, I think it took about 6 days.

Once you submit it, you will receive an email with the following information.
(The content of the mail is written as PMI-RMP, but it is same as PMP application.)

After 6 days, you will receive the following email.
Well, in summary, it's about paying money. :)

The following steps are also taken on the PMI homepage as shown below.

And when you make money, you will receive the following e-mail.

The final step is to schedule a test.

The last time you schedule it, you will receive the following message.
Are you ready to take the exam now? ^^

Now you can pass the exam on the day you set.

It is easy, isn't it? LOL :D

We have reviewed the overall certification process.
In the next session, let's take a closer look at how to proceed with each step.

Well then ... ^^
